Recently i went on a trip to India on an exchange trip which is why i haven't been able to blog at all but it was one of the best experiences ever and the country is just extraordinary. I feel so lucky to have been able to embark on the adventure with people who are now great friends of mine, so i desperately wanted to share my experience with you guys.
Within my group we traveled across northern India across the rough roads in a small yellow mini bus which took us everywhere and we stayed in a boarding school just north of Delhi with our exchange students.
Anyway cutting to the chase here are 5 reasons why India should be on your list of places to go!
1. The People
Throughout the trip i noticed everyone was so friendly and gave us the warmest welcome possible even though lots of people asked for your photo and treated you like a celebrity (which we all enjoyed)
2. The Weather
If your someone who likes all kinds of weather, India is the place for you. From 30+ degrees to only 10 degrees India had it all.
One day we had the contrast of the heat outside yet hail!
3. The wild life
Across the country there are all sorts of creatures freely roaming around every where. From Cows, to ADORABLE chipmunks (yep, that cute) to monkeys there is always something there.
4. The Culture
Okay so this may sound super geeky and all that but India is such an interesting place with temples dotted all over the place. But not only temples give an element of fascinating culture. Almost everything from the family orientated way of life to the religion all add to this culture often expressed in world famous monuments such as the Taj Mahal to ceremony's at the river Ganges.
5. The excitement
I don't really know how to back this up, the contrast of India to England is insane and like a whole new world. There is a new level to everything you do with so much freedom, its so chaotic yet so peaceful.
sorry this isn't my usual kind of post but i really wanted to share this with everyone and i hope you enjoyed it.
Lots of love
